Welcome to my strange side

I also need the relationships with the world next door, which is also behind the hedge. It's weird, light and dark, cruel, funny and home to all kinds of creatures.
A time for this is Inktober and Drawlloween (on Instagram) in fall where challenges this especially encourage. But also the idea of Brett Maning (#brettsfaebruaryartchallenge) in February was very inspiring. To survive in our world it is good to honor and be aware of all sides.
Diving into that brings a lot of joy and sometimes it gets a little scary.

Ich pflege gerne meine Beziehungen zu der Welt neben an, die auch hinter der Hecke ist. Diese ist schräg und lustig, licht, hilfreich ebenso düster, grausam und beherbergt allerlei Wesen.
Eine Zeit dafür ist Inktober und Drawlloween (auf Instagram) im Herbst, wo duch diese Challenges sowas besonders gefördert wird. Doch auch die Aktion von Brett Maning (#brettsfaebruaryartchallenge) im Februar war sehr inspirierend. Um in unserer Welt zu überstehen, ist es gut alle Seiten zu ehren und sich ihrer bewußt zu sein.
Dort einzutauchen ist spannend und auch mal etwas unheimlich.

The Falcon Phoenix

This firebird got its start in tropical Bali in 2013. Here artists from all over the world came together to work, learn and have fun.

The photo on the right was taken 2017 in Ubud. Location of abstract artist Wayan Karja, Santra Putra House. I was invited as guest artist to the group exhibition of the Society for Art of Imagination there and was also able to show the small phoenix that was painted in Bali a few years earlier.

The second phoenix was created 2022 after a request and is sold.

Der Feuervogel nahm seinen Anfang im tropischem Bali 2013. Hier hatten sich Künstler aus aller Welt getroffen um zusammen zu arbeiten, zu lernen und viel Spaß zu haben. Und so kam ich auch wieder dort hin.

2017 ist dieses Foto in Ubud entstanden. In dem Räumen des abstrakten Künstlers Wayan Karja im Santra Putra House. Dort war ich Teil von der Gruppenausstellung als Gastkünstler der Society for Art of Imagination und durfte hier auch das kleine Bild mit Phönix zeigen, was ich einige Jahre zuvor ebenso auf Bali gemalt habe. Der zweite Phönix entstand später 2022 nach einer Anfrage und ist verkauft.

These horses with wings

in the past I could fly in my dreams, today these horses are there. Big and powerful. They fly wherever they want. They are brave and on the way. To places where I have not yet been. Messengers, ambassadors, guards.

Diese Pferde mit Flügeln

früher konnte ich oft im Traum fliegen, heute sind diese Pferde da. Groß und mächtig. Sie fliegen wohin sie wollen. Sie sind mutig und unterwegs. Dorthin wo ich noch nicht war. Boten, Botschafter, Wächter.
