Painting martial arts came about by chance. The idea was suddenly there. I implemented it and sold these works. That was in 2002. It began with motifs from Aikido, Iaido, Kendo, Karate and later Korean sword fighting. With Aikido Yoshinkan I started in Munich at the end of the 90s. Followed by Qi Gong and Shaolin Qi Gong and Shinkendo. And not to forget Intiatic Swordwork which gives more perspectives on what is happening.

I'm not such an ambitious or athletic student and painting martial arts comes much easier to me. Learning and training together.

Through this experience I also like to paint this path in different styles. They reflect my everyday life, quite bluntly. With commissioned works, I adapt to what is desired and then something unique is created in collaboration. These were certificate motifs, birthday cards, get well cards or a gift for the master of a dojo. Also martial arts students who wanted a original painting for their home.

Kampfkunst zu malen hat sich zufällig ergeben. Die Idee dazu war plötzlich da. Und ich habe das umgesetzt und einige dieser Arbeiten verkauft. Das war 2002. Alles begann mit Motiven von Aikido, Iaido, Kendo, Karate und später koreanischem Schwertkampf. Mit Aikido Training hatte ich in München in einer Schule für den Yoshinkan Stil Ende der 90-ziger Jahre begonnen. Dann folgte Qi Gong und Shaolin Qi Gong sowie Shinkendo. Und nicht zu vergessen Intiatische Schwertarbeit die viele weitere Blickwinkel mir schenkte. 

Ich bin nicht so ein ergeiziger oder sportlicher Schüler und vom Eindruck fällt mir die Kampfkunst Malerei viel leichter. Und doch begleitet mich das. Zusammen zu lernen und zu trainieren.

Durch dieses Erlebnisse male ich auch gerne Bilder dazu. Diese gehen in verschieden Stilrichtungen. Die den Alltag spiegeln, ganz unverblümt. Bei Auftragsarbeiten passe ich mich dem an, was gewünscht wird solange das zu meinen Stilen passt und ich das abdecke.
